Wrapped Up in Bows

While browsing Asos looking for some cool shirts for my brother and boyfriend for Christmas I took a detour to look through the women's sale (you know how that just happens).

I looked through pages and pages and found things I liked, but did't love. Then I found this bow dress and I knew I had to have it. Not only was it at a great price point (looove sales), but I loved all the feminine details like the peter pan collar, bow pattern, and belt.

I also love that it is a dress that I can wear in many situations, whether I'm having lunch with my girlfriends, going to church or to work this dress works perfectly. Multi-faceted dresses are the best, and are essential for a complete wardrobe. I've spent too much money over the years on clothes that aren't multi-functional, and guess what I rarely wear them. Go figure huh?

Since this is California the fall is pretty mild so all I needed to keep me warm was a light blazer, knee-high socks, and boots. I never knew how huge knee high socks were until I lived in Tokyo, where it was a fall/winter staple for women who wanted stay warm while being able to wear dresses, and skirts. I'm a huge fan of the style because it adds some spunk to a look, and really does keep your legs toasty warm.

Lastly, I finished off my look with a bowler hat that I picked up in Japan, and broke up the black and white color palette with a small red messenger bag. I'm looking forward to reworking this look for the upcoming seasons.
