Dazzling lights are strung, sweet aromas hang in the air, goodwill is felt among all, and cheerful music constantly plays softly in the background. I absolutely adore the Christmas season because of the pure, unadulterated joy it brings, especially when you're with those whom you love and hold most dear. 

Also, what comes along with this time of year is an endless amount of Christmas/Holiday parties. They range anywhere from your office party to your best friend's ugly Christmas sweater extravaganza. So I'm hopefully making it a bit easier on you this year by offering some tips on how to style your next party look!

Today it is all about the office Christmas party. Where I work is business casual, and I typically get away with more casual looks than I should (hehe). However I stepped it up for an office appropriate, yet feminine business look. A black pencil should be a staple in any girl's closet, but to give it a more appropriate night time feel get it in lace. I'm wearing an extremely affordable option from Target, only $13 on sale! 

I paired this lace skirt with fashion's hottest color, oxblood or otherwise known as burgundy. The two-toned blazer is perfect to wear during the day at the office, and then take off when you arrive at the party. It's a simple way to lessen the business only vibe. I spiced up the look with a few bold accessories, including my new leopard bag from Asos, and a dramatic necklace from NY&Co. I have a sneaking suspicion that this will be my party staple bag this season. I also added some festive snowflake earrings that I made for a little kitsch feel, and neutral black shoes.

Have another party to attend after your office one? Ditch the black heels and strap on some metallic stilettos, and add a leather jacket. This simple change will stretch the wearability of your look.
