Transition Series: Dress into Skirt

Spring/Summer version of the dress that I morphed in to a skirt for this look.

First I want to say I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I spent the holiday being with family and friends, while eating an unholy amount of food. Then I relaxed the next few days by going on hikes, going to the drive-in, and doing a little online Christmas shopping. I steered clear of the malls because I didn't want any part of the Black Friday frenzy.

On another note, I'm really excited about a new series I'm going to start on my blog! A huge transition is going to be happening in my life very soon *stay tuned* which inspired me to show how to take one look or certain items of clothes, and mix and match them to work in different season and situations. My goal is to create a practical guide for you to follow and adapt to your own style.

One way to to get more use out of a dress is to wear it as a skirt. I put a color blocked sweater on top, and paired it with tall leather boots. By just adding two small changes to this summer dress, it turned in to a perfect fall look. Curious how to make it work for winter? Add tights and/or knee high socks with a warm winter coat, and accessorize with a funky scarf.
