Le Café

Anyone who knows me well knows that I am a wee bit obsessive over Hello Kitty. Her cuteness and affinity for all things feminine resonate with this reformed tomboy. As soon as I found out that there was a Hello Kitty Cafe in Hongdae (college area of Seoul) I immediately made a beeline towards it. I stood in awe of the completely pink structure that was finished off with her signature bow. With an elated shriek I burst through the doors and was not disappointed upon entering. Large seats were imprinted with her bow, lattes with her face frothed to perfection, and scrumptious looking cheese cakes created in her likeness. I was in heaven! haha. My initial urge was to buy everything, but thankfully this urge subsided when I looked at the prices. However, I was still able to satisfy the child inside me by picking up an adorable mug, and a cell phone charm (it is Korea after all).

Recently, I have been returning to my tomboy roots, and favoring a looser silhouette. Maybe I have changed because the past month has been so freezing here that I have traded body conscious looks for layering with buttons ups and sweaters. Or maybe I am on an experimental kick, whatever it may be I am enjoying the ride. Generally, I only buy skinny jeans and nothing else, but once I saw these ripped boyfriend inspired jeans by Zara I knew I had to give them a chance, and I'm so glad that I did. They are super comfy, flattering, and stylish. What more could you ask from your jeans? Also, I often favor men's T's and this UNIQLO one I'm wearing here is no exception. In my opinion men's T's are always more comfortable and versatile. I sized up for an extra baggy feel that will work great with skinny jeans come Spring and Summer. My new favorite accessories are these neon flats, and mint bag that I picked up here in Seoul. Both for bargain prices in the hottest Spring and Summer colors. Ohhh the ways I will work these colorful items in to my wardrobe! ^_^

Soon I plan on returning to actually sample the coffee and treats! On this day I was with my brother and four marines, and I have a sneaking suspicion that the Hello Kitty Cafe was not on their to do list. =p

Thanks for reading!
